My love of food started when I was a little girl watching cooking shows. I always looked forward to the dessert portion most. There was something about it that fascinated me - not just the desserts themselves, but how happy everyone seemed when something sweet was brought to the table.

As I grew up and had a family of my own, cooking and baking became one of the ways I expressed my love for them. Feeding the people I love is simply part of who I am. If you walk into my home, chances are one of the first things I'll ask is, “Did you eat?” or “Are you hungry?”

My kids laugh because even now, our conversations so often include, “What did you eat today?” To me, making sure the people I love are fed and cared for is an expression of what's in my heart.

Gigi's Corner grew from that same place.

“Gigi” is the name I cherish as a grandmother, and Gigi's Corner gives me a way to share a little of what I've always shared with my own family - homemade food, made with care, meant to be enjoyed together.

Whether it's bread for your breakfast table, something sweet for your family, or treats for a special celebration, I hope what comes from my kitchen brings a little happiness to yours.
